She showed us our room, up a flight of stairs and (to us) absolutely charming. Old furniture, parquet floor, 25m2 plus the bathroom. The opposite of a Travelodge (not that there’s anything wrong with those). Character in Spades. I needed to sort out our luggage and Madame came out to chat to me.
