Domaine Pierre Monnaie

😊: Laurent, the owner, is a brilliant host. The property is on the edge of a lovely, small village. It made for an excellent base for our small group of friends to discover the world of Champagne.

😊: Location is 25mins from Reims, five mins to Verzy village by car, 45 min walk to the village, one passes lots of vineyards. Village has a great bakery and delicatessen in the village. (closed on a Wed). The host, Laurent, was very helpful and attentive. He made time to show us around and explained how they produce champagne. Rooms are pleasant and roomy. The photos don't do justice to the size, they are bigger than we expected. Kitchen is well equipped. (No grocery store nearby).. 😢: Everything was great..

😊: The property is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay but you will need a car to get places or pay for uber/ taxi. Lovely countryside village close by..

😊: We had a fabulous 4 night stay here in Verzy. We drove to the property, and chose Verzy as we were exploring Champagne, and had a picnic booked at Veuve Ciquot which you can walk to from the property. We were only 2 people, but had the whole villa to ourselves. A really well equiped kitchen, air con in the bedroom, lovely bathroom, and some gorgous additional rooms. We had hoped to do a champagne tasting, but Laurent was busy with harvest etc, so totally understand he was too busy. We did though try one of the champagnes.. 😢: A bbq would have bee great, but not a show stopper for us. Just fabulous.
