😊: The location was perfect, just a 5 or 7 minute walk up the hill, passing beautiful and historic buildings along the way in one direction, or a peaceful stroll along the river to get to the cathedral and main area for many great restaurants and bars.( Cafe Bleu was very good and right in front of the cathedral. ) Loved the light show every evening after dark which is free and spread all over the town so you can watch as you stroll back to the apartment. Best of all was the view of the town and cathedral from the apartment which is truly exceptional! Altogether a fantastic apartment, thoughtfully arranged, lovely shower, towels, kitchen with great coffee machine, everything you could need for a couple of days stay. Perfect! Forgot to mention the excellent information pack with photos and details of how to find the apartment and check in and also where to park - very helpful indeed, thank you!. 😢: We actually didn't mind the steep climb up the stairs to the apartment (needed to work off some calories from all the cheese and croissants) but would not recommend if you find stairs a problem. They are quite old and uneven in places but the view is worth getting to the top! Leave your car parked and walk everywhere as there are many tiny tricky one-way streets to navigate around. Maybe even leave some of your luggage in the car, save you lugging it up all those stairs! Might he worth bearing in mind that most restaurants/shops are shut from Sunday afternoon through to Tuesday..

😊: Lovely little stopover in a fab part of Chartres.

😊: very well decorated etc, great location. 😢: lots of steps may not be ok for everyone and the attic bedroom was very very hot.
