😊: Great location. To access the property the instructions were quite ok but they use a lock box for the key. Clean apartment with comfortable bed (upstairs loft). Well appointed with bonus leftover tinned food from previous guests. Good bathroom and great shower (but no shelf for soap or shampoo). Large bottle of water in fridge was welcomed.. 😢: The building is non-descript and the entry foyer and staircase white walled and bland (no pictures or atmosphere). The upstairs loft bedroom is accessed by a narrow spiral staircase which was a bit slippery when descending. Luckily I only had a small backpack and any larger suitcases would be difficult to ascend the stairs. This apartment is not suitable for anyone with mobility impairment. The loft bedroom had creaky wooden floors and I was awoken at 3am by the neighbour walking across their floor! Ironically, the neighbour had a sign on his door protesting about noisy guests! Please note there is no aircon and I missed this when checking the facilities list! The loft bedroom would be very uncomfortable in warmer weather! CHECK THE SMALL PRINT: Special conditions: whilst the room rate is quite reasonable for this sized apartment, the owners insisted on charging a €500 security deposit which is credited to their private account (not Booking.Com). In my opinion, the security deposit is totally disproportionate to the room cost. It took many emails from me and about 1.5 days after departure for them to release the deposit. In total it took almost a week for my funds to be cleared (delayed refund and bank clearance time), during which time I could not use these funds for other expenses..
