Duplex design avec balcon I Hyper centre Thonon

😊: The location is so central. The beautiful lake and viewpoint is literally steps from the apartment and the charming cobbled streets of Thonon. Below you there are plenty of food and drink options and the stunning central church with its atmospheric bells. The property itself was very well appointed with all amenities covered - the appliances were all brand new, everything felt immaculate and clean. We could not fault! If you want somewhere that is ‘home from home’ it’s great, kitchen, washing machine, iron, loads of bedding and towels. Big TV with YouTube / Netflix. The highlight though, is the balcony. We loved opening the doors and hearing the sights and sounds of Thonon below. It felt very authentic! Modern but traditional at the same time.. 😢: The property was initially a little hard to find - this wasn’t an issue for us, in fact we found the instructions entertaining and enjoyed the ‘treasure hunt’ experience but it might not be for everyone. There was also no pre warning of the spiral staircase leading to the property. The apartment is on the top floor, so with a suitcase and lots of baggage it’s quite a challenge! The spiral stairs inside the property were also a little hazardous, you have to be very careful going up and down them as they feel quite rickety and slippery under foot. The bathroom is upstairs and the toilet downstairs, so you have to come down for the loo. Also tricky to get things up and down the stairs- go careful! The shower also needs something to stop the water leaking onto the bathroom floor as it got quite wet and we used a lot of towels to soak up the water. Overall the layout is a little impractical but if you can handle quirky then all good :).
