Eglantine (3 chambres - 6 personnes)

Wir haben einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt in Baguenard erlebt. Das Haus und Grundstück sind sehr gepflegt und bieten viele Möglichkeiten zum Entspannen (für Kinder und Erwachsene). Neben dem großen Pool gibt es weitere Möglichkeiten seine Zeit angenehm zu vertreiben (im großen Garten, beim Tischtennis, beim Grillen oder einfach Entspannen auf den verschiedenen Sitzmöglichkeiten). Der Kontakt zu den Besitzern (Vanessa Paul) hat sich sehr gut gestaltet. Sie waren sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und haben damit zu dem angenehmen Aufenthalt beigetragen. Das Haus und die Umgebung sind sehr empfehlenswert.

A relaxing gîte nested in mature garden, nice facilities and great pool. Plenty to do nearby, and half way between the coast and Marais Poitevins… if you feel like it!

Rien à voir avec une villa comme annoncer dans l'annonce. Maison non insonorisée, on entend tout ce qui se passe à l'étage, odeur d'humidité et de renfermé. Et pour finir visite de souris, du coup vacances terminées plus tôt, non remboursables bien-sur.

Maison simple pouvant facilement accueillir 6 personnes et disposant d'une grande piscine et d'un grand jardin, bien localisée en Vendée permettant à la fois d'aller à la mer et visiter les marais du Poitevin.

Il est 6h30 du mat tu penses que c'est le meilleur heure pour poser la question ??

Fantastic stay at Baguenard Gites as always. Vanessa and Paul go out of their way to make you feel welcome. All the Gites are well set out, lovely and clean with everything you could need. The garden and pool area are immaculate. Vanessa and Paul spend a lot of time ensuring this is always the case. The Gites are close to the beautiful village of Vouvant and the Mervent Forest with lake for canoeing, kayaking or paddle boarding. The new water park at O'Gliss is 50 minutes drive away and is fabulous. The beaches are also about an hours drive away but well worth a visit.. La Rochelle and the Ile de Re are also beautiful places to visit for a stroll along the harbour and a coffee or wine in one of the many cafes and restaurants.

We have stayed here 3 times now and can't wait to get back every time we leave. The properties are stunning with a wonderfully extensive well stocked garden and large family pool. Each property is impeccably clean and the owners are on hand with any questions you may have. The first time we stayed we drove down from Calais which was a long 7 hour drive. We stopped several times in the pretty roadside Aires which made the journey better. The other times we have flown into La Rochelle and hired a car. The flights were cheap and hiring the cars was simple to do, with only an hours drive to the Gites. Flying seems like a better option but we missed having all our own stuff such as games and deck chairs etc.. The beaches are fabulous but at least an hours drive away, we simply packed for the day and didn't return til evening. The surrounding countryside is beautiful with the forest at Mervent to see, a small Zoo, lakes with canoeing, archery, cycling etc. Shops are a 10 minute drive, and calling to the nearest village for bread every morning was an excuse to sit and have an espresso in Vouvant!! The pool is fabulous with loungers and sunshades for all. Our kids are teenagers and it was perfect for diving and playing ball games. We used the kids room for darts and pool every day and also played table tennis most days. Nearby Vouvant is worth a visit as is Fontenay le Compte, which is the nearest town. We were greeted with fresh eggs and home grown tomatoes and a bottle of wine on our arrival, and the owners popped round to make sure we had settled in ok. I can't recommend this holiday enough, whether you go with children or on your own, it is well worth the stay.

Thankyou Paul and Vanessa for a fantastic holiday. This was our second visit and was even better than the first as we had the whole family with us. We filled all 3 gites and each one was spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed. The fresh eggs and wine left in each gite was an added bonus. We loved the area. It was really pretty and so many different places to visit that a week was not really long enough. Bike rides, boat trips and adventure parks were just a few of the things we sampled. We also appreciated having the pool to ourselves to chill at the end of the day and being able to relax or play table tennis in the beautiful gardens. We were made to feel really welcome and enjoyed our daily chats with you both. Thankyou Paul for suggesting ideas for lovely places to visit. I am sure we will be back again before too long.
