En Hyper Centre de Pau, Maison et Appartement au Calme Avec Terrasse et Parking!

The house and apartment had rustic charm and were perfectly located in Pau- central to sites, shops and dining. The beds were comfortable, kitchens in house and apartment were well appointed with coffee makers toaster, cooktops, refrigerators and dishwasher. House included a washing machine only. We had a problem with internet in the apartment when we first arrived but owner responded promptly to correct the issue. Because of the vertical orientation of the properties with spiral or steep stairs from first through third floors, this could be an issue for some individuals but was not a problem for our family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Pau!

The property is just a short walk from the centre, where there are restaurants, shops and bars. It is full of character, quiet and nicely tucked away. There was everything we needed and was superbly presented. The only negative points for us, were that the twin room on the first floor was not private as the staircase goes through it and the 1st floor double bedroom exits off it although this seems to be quite common in Europe. The parking is unusual in a property so close to the centre, but is tight to get in and out of with a larger car ( a small to medium sized car would be fine ) so we ended up parking in the car park above which was only a 5 minute walk away and very cheap. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable place to stay and I would recommend highly.

We - a group of 8 - Australian, New Zealanders, English, American and French friends gathered in Pau to watch together the Rugby World Cup. The only ‘spoiler’ was that France was already out of the Cup. The house was very suitable. It is quirky - but comfortable. It is mainly geared for fairly fit people with a spiral staircase and a staircase/ladder to an upstairs room. It is close to the centre of town with many restaurants nearby. We enjoyed our time there.
