Entre Annecy et Genève dans une ancienne ferme restaurée, Neydens, Haute-Savoie

What a wonderful place to stay in a quiet farm spot yet convenient to both Geneva and key places to visit nearby —- Annecy, Yvoire especially. The home is quaint yet modern and very comfortable. The setting is beautiful with spectacular flowers placed perfectly like a painting. The owers are wonderful and very helpful and super friendly. The spot is very private. We enjoyed coffee outside and wine in the evening on our patio There are stores nearby to buy supplies. We also used their charcoal Grill! I’d definitely return if I was fortunate enough to. Merci !

Martine our host was extremely understanding. We were originally supposed to arrive at the location between 7-8pm, however our flight was cancelled at the last minute. Our new itinerary had us arriving at her place at 11pm - midnight. We immediately notified her via VRBO of our late arrival and she assured us there was no problem. We had no idea how to meet her but as we excited the car she showed up and handed over the keys. The home is as advertised and the local is tranquil & picturesque in the hills overlooking Geneva. It is extremely quiet at night while you wake up to the song of birds. The kitchen was generally well stocked and I was able to roast a guinea hen as well as saute on the 4 burner stove. I wish there was a clothes dryer in addition to the washing machine on site at the same time I now understand space is tight and the provided drying rack was just fine for air drying. For entertainment, it appears she has French cable as well as a large collection of board games. Still don't miss using the outdoor table and playground if you have children - an absolute delight. There is one wooden high chair onsite which I did not use - still it appears safe for infants. There is a good size indoor mall with a large supermarket (Migros), McDonalds, 24 hr ATM and an indoor/outdoor waterpark a short 8 minute drive away with free ample parking - very convenient.

Martine was a FANTASTIC HOST! She was always responsive in all our communications and extremely helpful during our registration and all times thereafter. The chalet was very spacious with all that was needed. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor space. Thank you Martine for being so caring and a GREAT STAY!

My colleagues and I recently had business in Geneva. Rather than pay exorbitant hotel rates in Switzerland, we chose to stay at this little villa in France for three nights. It ended up being the perfect solution! It is located in a quiet country neighborhood - a part of a triplex. It was very clean and well stocked with amenities. We all agreed that the beds were very comfortable. There is a washer but no dryer so laundry had to be planned in advance to have time to dry. The only downside to staying in France is the commute into Geneva is challenging given the border crossing and traffic into the city. It is 45 -60 minutes to Geneva Airport during rush hour. Off peak that same commute is more like 20-30 minutes. That said, the peace and quiet at night more than made up for the commuting challenges. The town of Neydens has a grocery store, a McDonald's and an excellent Italian restaurant - plus a moderate size mall for immediate needs. The owners are so nice - they don't speak much English but we were able to communicate nontheless. One word to the wise - sheets and towels are available for rent and the cleaning fee is tacked on post stay - all payable in cash. I did not have any cash so that was a bit of a surprise but we got it worked out. My word of advice would be to confirm ahead of time how extra fees will be paid. Overall we had a good stay and I would definitely consider renting this facility again should we return to the area in the future.

Nous avons énormément apprécié notre séjour. Martine est aux petits soins et donne de très bons conseils / adresses. Le gîte était très propre et confortable. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Lovely unique farmhouse , clean , roomy and nice owners. We spend 5 nights at Neydens to see our family in Geneva. Easy to visit other city near by. Thank you Martina and Jacque for your hospitality.
