The property is immaculate and is well-appointed without being fussy...it has exactly what a family needs and is easy to use and a pleasure to visit. The large outdoor areas are ideal for children to play in, and the privacy is incredible. We enjoyed meeting Guy and Franchette, family members of the owners: they were exceptional guides to the property and we felt throughout that we were in good hands. (Minor note: if you are American and want to use the clothes washer seeking an explanation in advance would be helpful!) In addition to the immediate setting Autun is a lovely town (the sports park was one of our favorite places) with good restaurants and a modern shopping area. We used it as a base to visit all of Burgundy and although getting to Vezelay and Guedelon was a bit of a long haul the house is ideally placed for visits to Beaune and the Cote D'Or. In short, this is a model home which is beautifully maintained and managed and located in a most appealing place: hard to improve upon, and fantastic in every way.

This is the perfect holiday house. We were 5 adults and 5 children plus 2 dogs. The house is big, we never felt on top of each other. It has everything: Indoor and outdoor games, books, and let's not forget the pool table! The children did not say once they were bored! Fabulous idea as well to have a big bedroom where all the children can sleep and play together. The dogs were also delighted to run and play in the very impressive garden where we spent a lot of time. The house is in a quiet village next to the forest where we had some great walks with the dogs. It is only a few minutes' drive from Autun, worth visiting. We will definitely rent the house again next time we are in Burgundy.

We loved our stay here. Autun, just a few minutes' drive from the house, is charming and beautiful. The house had everything we needed - a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of space, and our daughters even learned to play pool on the billiard table, in the evenings, near a warm crackling fire. The owner is consistently, warmly responsive, and the lovely couple who manage the property were helpful and friendly (and had a lovely home-made snack and a fantastic bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived). Highly recommend this location.
