😊: Basic but clean. In the centre of Criquetot l'Esneval, stone throw away from, boulangerie and little restaurants. Well equiped kitchen.. 😢: The couch-bed is a bit spartan..

😊: Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at this property – thank you to the hosts! The apartment matches the description: it’s clean, relatively spacious, and sensibly decorated. The sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable – contrary to some previous reviews, we had no complaints. The shower was excellent – powerful and consistent, which is often a weak spot in rental properties – and the WiFi worked very well throughout our stay. We were lucky with parking, always finding a spot either right in front of the house or in the village square just 200 meters away. While the weather was relatively mild during our stay, we can imagine that heat could be an issue if the temperature is higher. The street is quite noisy during the day and evening, but it quiets down between midnight and 6 am, which was acceptable for us. Any minor drawbacks were outweighed by the fantastic location. The village is charming and surrounded by beautiful landscapes. In addition to Étretat, Rouen and the picturesque coastal towns of Honfleur, Deauville, and Trouville are all easily accessible by car.. 😢: The kitchen is functional but sparsely equipped – the cutlery is minimal, and there’s no large pot for cooking, for example, pasta. The biggest issue is a shelf mounted at eye level between the kitchen and the bathroom – it’s in an awkward and potentially hazardous spot. Surprisingly, we found a review from a year ago mentioning this exact concern, yet the shelf remains in place. Also, we missed an important detail about the check-in process. Just a few hours before our arrival, we received a request to pay a €250 deposit for potential damages, and only after that was the door code shared. This was a bit of a surprise and felt rushed – clearer advance communication about this requirement would have been appreciated..
