Exceptional chalet in Châtel!

We had a pleasant stay. It is not cheap but a good size for a group and has pretty views across the valley. The hot tub is lovely and always ready for use. However bring your own towels as there are no additional towels supplied.Beware there are several misleading discrepancies between the listing and reality. The property is not “ski in ski out” as stated in the listing. It is about 15 mins walk from the town centre. There is a bus stop nearby, but these are small minibuses and only run every half an hour, meaning they are often full.The welcome “box” promised in the listing is actually a bottle of sparkling wine - no box. Hand soap is only provided in 2 rooms. The linens listed in the amenities do not include bedding, which is more expensive than in the listing, and even more to put on the beds. There is an unlisted unmarked security camera pointing at the hot tub.There is a high cleaning fee, but on top of this you are expected to totally clean the property yourselves, stripping the beds, cleaning the fireplace, floors, rugs etc., and should expect to be charged extra if you do not do this completely. There is no housekeeper included as stated in the listing.Be aware that on arrival, you are expected to immediately sign a 4 page inventory of every item in the chalet. Allow a few hours to check every item, as if you do not report something being damaged or dirty on arrival, you will be charged for it at the end.Overall, a pleasant stay, but we cannot recommend.

Ce chalet correspondait parfaitement à nos attentes . Nous avons passé un excellent séjour

Really lovely chalet, very clean and comfortable, great facilities. Location is a 10 minute walk to Chatel, but if you’re in ski boots it’s too far to walk really, so a short bus ride. From there is another bus to get to Linga or Pre la Joux (to access avoriaz/rest of pds) As the listing says, it’s on the bus route, (which is free), but it is 2 buses to get full portes du soleil access which I had not realised. So easier if you have a car -prob only a 10 minute drive. I think you’ll be hard pushed to find a nicer chalet though!

Rundum war es in diesem Chalet ein schöner Aufenthalt. Sehr gepflegt und tolle Lage . Man kann von dort alles gut zu Fuß erreichen. Wir kommen gerne wieder .

Merveilleusement bien placé et équipé, nous avons passé un très bon séjour à 11 dans le chalet. Je recommande, car même si la neige n'a pas été au rdv, l'espace interieur, le jacuzzi de grande taille, le Sauna, les équipements de cuisine et la proximité du village et de ses activités nous ont permis de passé une merveilleuse semaine !
