F1 hyper centre au pied de la cathédrale

We needed a quick one-night stay in Beauvais due to a flight to Palermo, the Beauvais airport was what showed up in our plans...We had no expectations of how this location might be other than a decent place to sleep before a flight, and what a MARVEL to arrive find that when it said "at the foot of the cathedral", it was not an exaggeration! One can literally look out one window see the Cathedral, and out the other window to see charming houses. The cross-breeze with open windows was also lovely! The only recommendations we might have would be to include instructions for the shower options-- the 3 choices are not intuitive for those never using that style before---but certainly not a problem! Also, the communication was adequate for the things that were absolutely necessary, but for anything less than very important, we sometimes did not receive responses. Furthermore, during our stay, the wifi was not actually private (no password was required), so we felt better using our own mobile data in order to look into our bank accounts online, etc. The vrbo host was surprised to hear that, but it did not change. No big deal, but something to be aware of. We were able to walk from the train station; it was a bit of a hike, but not impossible. At least the roads sidewalks were fairly smooth, so no great hardship, if you are someone who does not mind walking to a destination for 10 or 15 minutes. And they provided powdered coffee condiments! =-) We do recommend!
