Family Cottage with a View

😊: Incredible views! A nice walk up the hill behind the property.. 😢: We were booked for 3 nights and left after one. We would have left sooner if we hadn’t had a beer whilst unpacking (before looking around outside) The booking.com advert shows pictures of a nice outside grass area, table and chairs and generally well maintained. This is the main reason we booked the property. The idea was our dog could run about and we could take-in the views with a bottle of wine. The garden was so overgrown that parts were impassable. I’ve attached a couple of pictures showing the advert compared to reality (taken 14/06/26) Oh, and to top it off, there was a birds nest in the house. The property is very difficult to locate. A simple map with pin points could solve this. Similarly, some sort of distinctive marker outside the property would help. When you find the property, you enter via a wooden door. This is not shown in the advert and I can see why. It’s honestly like walking into a garage of a horror movie! The picture doesn’t do justice to how creepy and dark it is in reality. We emailed the owners the morning we left. Zero communication back. Booking.com tried and no response. They have suggested we try and contact the owner (done this) We are now back in the UK and still no response from the owners. We feel completely conned by the misleading advert. This place has been neglected and I’d strongly recommend you book somewhere else. Literally anywhere else!.

😊: Fully equipped kitchen, very cozy living room, good location, beautiful views, calm neighborhood, beautiful garden, comfortable beds, heating, tv with Netflix, fireplace, the host was really helpful, we found in the house everything we needed, our dogs were very comfortable too and also the host allowed us a late check out so we could enjoy longer than usual ☺️. 😢: It’s an old house that requires some renovation for full comfort. Strange entrance to the house through a dusty basement. Garden needs better maintenance..
