Two week stay during August 2020. Family of 4 adults and 2 young children. Petite Maison was well equipped, clean and modern. Bathrooms all good. The swimming pool and gym were absolutely superb - it's done on a covid rota between the two properties on site (am/pm, alternating). Communication with Dorn was quick before and throughout. Only downer was some pretty horrible guests in the adjoining larger property for a party, but this was for 2 nights only and probably not ideal for the owner either. On the other hand, we had a free run of the place for most of the 2 weeks as it was only booked out for the weekends during our stay. Would recommend owners replace the curtains in the top room as they don't keep out much light. The location is very quiet, which suited us. It is in the middle of a huge arable area with cows, so there can be some flies - just bring an electric tennis bat fly swatter and they're easily dealt with! Compromise of the countryside sometimes, which we were happy to make. Lots of wildlife - herons, buzzards and kestrels on every walk. The town, Desertines, is too far to walk but we never went in apart from for bread as we kept ourselves to the property and cooked bbqs etc. You need to go early or arrange for them to reserve - otherwise you have to drive the other way again to another boulangerie - but there's no traffic at all so it doesn't take any time. Domfront nor Fougeres are far and are very nice to name a couple of towns, but there's plenty to go and see that's not far. Just a shame that we visited during Covid so didn't get to go out as far as we would have liked. All in all, it's thoroughly recommended.

Très belle maison, avec de grandes prestations. La maison est grande, propre et en pleine campagne, une fois arrivée il n'y a plus qu'à profiter de l'espace, des jardins et de l'espace jeux très bien équipé pour petits ( billards, ping-pong, consoles de jeux) et grands (piscine, jaccuzzi, salle de musculation). Merci à notre hôte pour l'accueil et tous ses bons conseils sur les choses à faire dans les environs. Je peux déjà dire que nous reviendrons avec plaisir prochainement.

Nous avons séjourné à 10 dans la "petite" maison qui ne l'est pas du tout. Demeure très confortable et décorée avec goût, dont nous avons bien apprécié tous les équipements : piscine, salle de sport, salle de jeux... dans un endroit très calme. La campagne est belle et il y a plein de lieux à visiter dans un rayon de 50 km. Deux petits bémols : nous aurions apprécié d'avoir 10 tabourets de bar (au lieu de 6) dans la vaste cuisine pour y prendre les repas plus confortablement (et plus simplement que dans la salle à manger) et il manque un peu de vaisselle (couverts, cocotte, grands moules à tarte...) pour un logement qui peut accueillir jusqu'à 12 personnes. Je recommande néanmoins vivement cet endroit.

Clean and a place to stay with friends, well equipped and excellent pool

La Petite Maison is a lovely large house with great facilities, including en suite bedrooms and large kitchen lounge and dining areas. The leisure, pool and gym area were great for our family .As the adjoining property was unoccupied for most of our stay we had the place to ourselves, apart from the owner. We had a lovely stay and drove to different places each day . Local restaurants were friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this property for large family groups with children
