farm house at the foot of the mountains and 1 kilometer from Espelette center

The house is great, well equipped with modern appliances, lots of nice cookware, glasses, crockery, cutlery, and kitchen equipment. There is airco if you need it, and there is a massive google TV and even a hifi. Two large bedrooms with comfortable beds and lots of bedlinen including brand new pillows. The balcony is very large, with lovely views of the hills, a big table for eating outside and plenty of comfortable seating. The front garden is enclosed, so it's ideal if you have a dog with you. Perfect and we would go there again without hesitation!

Despite the marketing of the “chili peppers” of Espellette, The rest of it has so much greenery that is fabulous and calming. Drive safely on narrow roads and it’s the perfect vacation. So close to all the other Basque attractions, we will come again.

Bel et grand appartement dans une ferme rénovée avec magnifique terrasse couverte face aux collines et surplombant les animaux de la ferme, brebis, poules, chevaux (avec des mouches aussi 😉), comme un poste d’observation pour un safari rural, notre chat a beaucoup apprécié ! Propreté, confort, équipements, accueil, tout est optimal. Merci pour tout !

If a calm, clean, comfy cottage, with beautiful rural scenes, within a kilometre of the centre of a lovely small town, is your idea of a holiday, this place is for you. We were delighted with our two week stay. I don’t think the photos show how nice the accommodation is, except for maybe the photos of the back deck, which we did not want to leave. The outdoor seating in the front was great, too, and, most importantly for a relaxing holiday, the beds were so comfortable. Philippe was very pleasant, and accommodating.

Maison proche du village tout en étant seul au monde !! Parfait pour le repos. Vue sublime. Confortable et bien équipée. Et cerise sur le gâteau, notre toutou est accepté. Accueil chaleureux, merci.

Das Haus befindet sich in ruhiger Lage mit einem herrlichen Blick auf die Pyrenäen. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Pyrenäen, an die spanische Küste (Zumaia) aber auch Biarritz und Saint Jean de Luz sind nur 30 Minuten entfernt. Philippe ist ein sehr netter und fürsorglicher Gastgeber! Das Haus ist sehr sauber, mit allem ausgestattet und geschmackvoll eingerichtet - wir haben uns sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt! Die Terrasse ist überdacht und man kann auch bei Regen draußen sitzen. Abends haben wir gerne auf dem Plancha gegrillt. Wir können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Wir waren begeistert, alles genau so, wie gewünscht und besser. Sehr ruhig und doch nah an Espelette, einem entzückenden kleinen Ort. Die Landschaft ist wunderschön und das Haus von Philippe super. Sehr schön eingerichtet und ausgestattet. Die Kommunikation mit Philippe lief reibungslos, immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir würden sofort wiederkommen (wenn es nicht so weit von uns entfernt läge…).

We were made very welcome; all the little extras were provided too for our comfort. We made the most of our stay - visiting nearby pretty towns and relaxing in the countryside. It was a welcome break. The property is cool when hot outside as the blinds are very effective. In the evenings we played pool. It is well situated with fabulous views over the mountains and a pleasant 20 minute walk to the town . Worth visiting are: Le Petit Train de la Rhune, Bayonne, the caves at Sare. There are local walks signposted from Espelette. We very much enjoyed our stay in the Basque countryside and the farm was an ideal base.
