Ferienhaus Au bord du canal

What an amazing, interesting house. Full of history and quirky antiques. Very comfortable. C. and B., the hosts, couldn't have been more helpful. Thank you, C. for the fresh produce you gave us from you lovely garden! We had a great time.

The house is great, full of historic artefacts, but also practically presented for a family staying. Our only comment is that the window security for toddlers could be better as no breathe option” but with the shutters closed it was safe.  C. was welcoming but respectful of our privacy despite being next door. Local bakery's were great and it's only an hour's drive to isle d're or La Rochelle. WiFi was poor.

Wir haben unseren Urlaub zum zweiten Mal in Mauzé-sur-le Mignon verbracht. Das geräumige Haus und das weitläufige Grundstück gefielen uns auch in diesem Jahr wieder sehr gut. Schöner Pool. Sehr freundliche und diskrete Vermieter. Ein Ausflug in das nahe gelegene marais poitevin lohnt sich immer - in diesem Jahr entdeckten wir das geruhsame Örtchen Davix. La Rochelle, Fouras und der Châtelaillon -Plage sind ebenfalls attraktive Ausflugsziele.

We spent two weeks at this wonderful house. It has everything you need and some truely wonderful outside seating areas. Christophe was there if we needed him but otherwise invisible. The house is located really well to explore the area and markets. The house has everything you need to enjoy your holiday and some really unique features and antiques. We would love to come back one day.

Mooi huis op voormalige boerderij. Mooie rustige tuin met leuke overdekte eetplaats. Overal hangen oude werktuigen, kunstwerken, oude wapens, klokken, enz. Kamerindeling is top, door de grootte van het huis heeft iedere kamer toch genoeg privacy. Fijn zwembad, 12,5 m lang ongeveer. Het stadje is niet zo mooi maar wel een goede bakker en een grote supermarkt. Prima vakantiewoning voor een verblijf van een week. Vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaars waarvan één in dezelfde straat woont.

Ein sehr schönes, originell eingerichtetes Ferienhaus auf einem sehr gepflegten riesigen Grundstück mit verschiedenen Sitzmöglichkeiten. Schöner Pool. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Besitzer. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Schöne Ausflugsziele, die recht schnell erreichbar sind: z. B. das Marais Poitevin, La Rochelle, Châtelaillon-Plage, Niort. Der Bahnhof von Mauzé ist fußläufig zu erreichen, so dass man La Rochelle, Niort oder Poitiers bequem mit dem Zug erreichen kann.

Maison de caractère très agréable. Au vu de la décoration intérieure et de l'âge de la maison (construction vers 1850 il me semble), on se croit revenir dans le passé mais avec quand même le confort des temps modernes. Le propriétaire est très accueillant et il est vraiment à votre écoute en cas de problème.On a apprécié, surtout en ce moment avec les fortes chaleurs, la grande piscine avec un sympathique coin apéro au bord. En conclusion, je recommande ce gîte pour son calme et son originalité.
