Excellent property which is well equipped with everything you need for a great holiday. Host is very accommodating to ensure you have everything you need and responded quickly to all communication pre-holiday. Lovely peaceful location just half hour from Bergerac was perfect for what we were looking for.
Thé gite was a lovely home very well equipped with absolutely everything one could wish for. Loads of games to play and a beautiful swimming pool in front of the gite. Our hosts were friendly and very hospitable and available if needed but also respected the privacy of their guests. Thé gite is surrounded by fantastic vineyards… lots of wine tasting !! Also central for visits to Bergerac and Bordeaux.. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We had a wonderful week. The house and pool are well maintained and there are activities and games galore for all the family. The owners were lovely and friendly and had thought of lots of little extras that made for a very easy and comfortable stay. We would love to go back. The Dordogne river is a very easy and flat 5 minute bike ride away. There is a picnic bench and access to the river for a swim and we only ever saw 2 other people there so a nice quiet spot. Great location between some lovely towns. The shops are close and you have everything you need within 15 minutes. Canoeing was less than a 5 minute drive down the road and was idyllic. The only negative was the bird poop on the patio sometimes as the geese walk past however having the geese and chickens with their little chicks pottering around the garden was delightful!
This was a lovely property in stunning grounds. The property was clean and beautifully presented for our arrival and we had a lovely week there. Was a little surprised to share the garden with chickens and peacocks but the children loved it!
We had a lovely holiday staying here with lots of space inside, a large garden outside and all the facilities you can find shown in the photographs. The gite was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and a very comfortable and pleasant place to stay, you could quite easily stay here and not go anywhere else. Having breakfast with the sun rising up over the adjacent vine fields and shining through the trees was a fantastic way to start each day. If you haven't been to this part of France La Roque Saint-Christophe and the nearby pre-historic caves etc are well worth a day's visit along with Chateau de Castlenaud, as is with the French roads, very easy to get to.
