Fun x Cosy City Retreat by Melrose

😊: The location was very good: right next to the Cathedral and a short walk to the main streets. A spacious apartment.. 😢: Some maintenance issues: The table and some of the chairs were very unsteady. The drain in the bathroom sink was almost completely blocked. There were no containers of washing machine detergent or bathroom hand/shower wash, though when we contacted the host they provided them promptly. Most of the crockery and glasses etc. are stored in extremely high cupboards above the microwave oven shelf and other benches. I am not tall and had to climb up on a chair to reach them! Not good..

😊: Location was great right in the centre and the apartment was spacious for 2 people.. 😢: The bedsheet was too small and scratchy. We found another one in the box and put it on top which helped a bit. The mattress was hard and could have done with a topper. The pillows were inadequate and lumpy. The sofa was uncomfortable. The towels were small. The remote for the TV didn’t work. One had no batteries and the other turned the TV on but then had insufficient power to do anything else..

😊: The location.. 😢: Lack of hard copy information about how to operate the TV & open the washing machine, Shouldn’t have to message the owners to find out/clarify basic information about the apartments equipment. Despite there being 2 extra lamps, the lighting was mostly too dim for anyone over 50 with diminishing eyesight. There was an odd sock left lying on the floor of the lounge room that had not been removed by cleaners prior to our arrival. The lock on the apartment door itself was tricky to operate..

😊: Perfect location, close to all facilities.. 😢: Insufficient bed pillows. Could not work the washing machine until we realized the wall electrical plug was not working, so we had to plug the washing machine to another wall plug..

😊: Location was fantastic.. 😢: We believed it was ground floor and stairs with luggage was a struggle. Inconvenienced by fridge not working properly and kettle blowing power, but they fixed it..
