Hotel.sarlGreat spot for hiking in the cirque, but a few things to be aware of.If you're visiting during the off-season, you'll definitely need a car since the town only has one open restaurants within walking distance. The place itself is a fair price for somewhere to rest after a day of exploring. A heads-up: the linens (sheets, towels, etc.) are stored in a cabinet, so you'll need to make the bed when you arrive. You'll also be responsible for cleaning up (sweeping, mopping, etc.) before you check out.Privacy can be a bit of an issue as the curtains are quite sheer. One more thing: make sure to wait for the directions to be sent via message before you head out. Since I was traveling solo, I arrived a couple of hours before check-in to get familiar with the area. The directions listed on the welcome page were incorrect, and I ended up wandering around for a bit before finding the house. I had to climb a hill to overlook the town and spot it from above! The correct directions were actually sent to me about 30 minutes before check-in.All in all, it's a decent spot for a quick rest, especially if you're in the area for hiking. It’s a beautiful area with scenic views out the front door!

Lovely host and spectacular location. Property is a basement of the family home and is not very well lit, but comfortable and warm with good bathroom facilities, so best for active holidays with most spent out abd about. Be aware that Gedre is only open in season ie high summer and the ski season, so eating out is only an option then.
Lovely property with fantastic views. Great for all the spectacular walks in the area.
