We had a lovely time in the beautiful house and great garden. Marina was very helpful and we enjoyed all the homemade confiture and baked goods enormously!

We found this stay to be very good, very friendly owner who frequently supplied us with treats. The only downside is that there are pictures of the two properties on this site (upstairs & downstairs) & you don’t know which one you are getting, we thought we booked the upstairs one, but ended up downstairs. This wasn’t too bad as you have good access to the outside courtyard to sit and eat or just relax but if you are unfortunate enough to get small children upstairs running about early in the morning like us then you can get a disturb nights sleep.

This holiday accommodation is situated in an extremely picturesque, quiet village. We had a wonderful week made extra special by the very kind, generous, helpful and friendly owners. The house and garden are beautiful. There is plenty for a family to do nearby: great outdoor swimming pool at Bad Bergzabern, castles, Maginot line forts, swimming lakes and a traffic-free cycle track not far from the village. We highly recommend this property.

Everything about our stay in Langensoultzbach was wonderful. The village itself is beautiful, scenic and peaceful. The only things we could hear from the window were birdsongs and the river flowing by. Bas-Rhin is a lovely area, with wooded hills, valleys, and pretty villages. A rich history too - we visited chateaux, the Maginot Line, and spent time in Strasbourg and across the border in Baden Baden, Germany. The gite was beautifully renovated, and luxurious, and we enjoyed eating meals outside, and relaxing in the quiet garden. Best of all was the warm hospitality shown to us by the owners, Eric and Marina. They gave us a wonderful welcome, a trip to a local restaurant for Tarte Flambée, a personal tour around the village's Roman museum, and more. We have many happy memories of our week in Langensoultzbach, and we would highly recommend this gite to anyone. Steve, Holly, and Emma Turner

If you love beautiful old buildings with all the modern conveniences in a quiet village, this is for you. The apartment is spacious, clean, and true to the pictures in every way and the kitchen is so well equipped, it will entice you to cook all the wonderful foods you find in the markets. Should you have the need to leave this peaceful place for the big city of Strasbourg, don't drive into the center--use the park-and-ride system instead. Signage from the autoroute is bad, so a good map is essential. I saved the best for last: our hosts Eric and Marina are among the nicest people you will ever have the good fortune to meet. They were caring and attentive and most generous in sharing the local food, wine, and culture with us. We had a wonderful vacation in a beautiful and interesting region of France, but they made it extra special.

I and a friend spend a very enjoyable week in Langensoultzbach and its surroundings. The lodging is both charming and a convenient base for those who want to sample both the German and the French side of the border. The natural environment and villages of the region are among the nicest in France. The opportunities for hiking seem endless. From my e-mails exchanges with the owners, I expected a very warm welcome, which was certainly the case. Both Marina and Eric were extremely friendly and generous in offering food and anything else to make our stay a pleasant one. They were always willing to attend to any request and offer advice. We felt treated more as family than as lodgers.

Rental was as advertised. Very comfortable spacious and clean. Suit travellers with a car or cyclists wanting to explore the rural area and other villages .No shops other than bakery here but supermarket and shops in nearby village. Very hospitable and helpful owners. Strasbourg was an easy day trip away.

My husband, my two and a half year old daughter and I had the fortune to stay with Eric and Marina during August 2009. They could not be more welcoming and kind and showered my little girl in particular with toys and affection. The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you would need for your stay, with spacious rooms, a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely garden to relax in and explore. We would have no hesitation at all in recommending Eric and Marina's gite to anyone who enjoys peace and quiet in a beautiful location.
