Gîte Appart "Les Oiseaux " avec vue sur Loire

Accessing the key for entry was unclear as was entry to the flat. The door was rickety and loose. Having to go inside to get the key for parking was very inconvenient. There was no soap in the bathroom to wash your hands. The chairs on the balcony were uncomfortable and the noise from the street was loud. The shower was hand held and the tub was very small.

Due to a problem with VRBO website, communication between the hosts and ourselves, we had a problem with checking in. It was late, after 22:00 hrs, but the host did refund us for one night as we had to find different accommodations for the night. The apartment was what we wanted, unfortunantley it was for only one night. We would stay there again, but will make sure everything is in order before arriving and have the key code to enter the apartment.

We have stayed in this flat before and would never stay anywhere else in Orléans. The location is perfect and use of the nearby car park is a great bonus. The apartment itself is lovely with everything you could possibly need for a short or long stay. Arrival is really easy and the location is brilliant. Laurence is a great host and is really easy to communicate with. You can watch the world go by from the balcony and although the road is busy, the double glazed windows mean that noise isn’t an issue at all. There are historic sights, bars and restaurants within a very short walk. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to experience Orléans from the comfort of a welcoming and homely environment. We will be back!

We were pleased to book this apartment last minute as our original booking cancelled - they had emergency repair work to do on the roof after storms the previous week. It is right on the the river side so there is a lovely view form the balcony. Laurence was an excellent host, met us on arrival and talked through everything we needed to know. The situation is perfect for exploring Orleans on foot. Parking was a few minutes away in a public car park, but we were given a pass, so it was free - a real bonus. Would highly recommend this property for a stay in Orleans.
