Gîte Chez Charlot

😊: Beautiful and charming little village!! Plenty of restaurants available and a good bakery (2 min walk from the house). The lake is a short drive away. We visited the cities Chambéry and Annency, both under 50 min drive away from Chanaz. Both cities are spectacular, so nice and charming. The views of the mountains and the lake are also breathtaking. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. A nice terrace to have breakfast or read a book, a well equipped kitchen, everything was very clean.. 😢: For us, the bed was not that comfortable. It was quite hard. But that's personal, so it might be comfortable for other guests. Another thing, that is not really something we didn't like but it would be good to write that in the description is that you can't park close to the house. Because the village is so small, only local residents can park inside the village. So you need to park the car in a parking just outside of the village and walk around 6-7 min to the house. There is a path going from the parking towards the village, so it's well indicated. For guests that have a bit of trouble walking or doing stairs (there is a bridge you have to pass with 36 stairs going up and 36 stairs going down to get to the village, see photo 4) this might be a problem. Maybe best to put that in the description so that guests are prepared..
