Gîte 'Chez René' - 10 min du PUY DU FOU

😊: The location was easy to find using Google Maps, about five minutes out of town and five minutes from the Puy De Fou, which was our main reason for the visit. It is a beautiful and spacious gites, based on a working farm. Our kids loved waking to the sound of cows looking for breakfast in the fields next to the house! Les Herbiers is a beautiful little French town with plenty of nice restaurants and an attractive commercial centre well worth a visit and the locality is an area of outstanding natural beauty and full of history. The host was also very accommodating, we were running quite late due to bad traffic on our route from the south but it really was not a problem and we were made to feel really welcome. The Gite was very well equipped, was really clean and comfortable.. 😢: We loved it but if you don't like rural settings and dark country lanes, it might not be for you! For us, this was exactly what we wanted - we loved the setting and it was great that we could offload our bikes and bike rack knowing we could leave them outside the house in complete safety..
