Gite chez Stéphanie Montbazon 5 chambres

The large house in Montbazon served very well as a location for our multi-generational family celebration. The location, within easy walking distance of the village center, was great and allowed us, for example, to walk with the grandkids to the boulangerie to get the morning bagettes and croissants. There is good and ample living space with room for the kids to play, a reasonable-sized kitchen (with dishwasher), and both indoor and outdoor dining areas that easily sat our group of 11. Jean-Louis was accessible, friendly and responsive to any problems. Given the oppresive summer heat, the air conditioning in the upstairs bedrooms was vital. It would have been very useful for the downsairs living areas to also have have been air conditioned.

Lovely gites in a really quiet village location, great for a bakery trip every morning and a visit to one of the two bars every afternoon. Montbazon is a friendly and welcoming place - a visit to the Chateau is a must. The park beside the river is within minutes for walking our dog and the gites grounds are fully dog proof. Stephanie and Jean-Louis have provided everything you could possibly need for your stay here. Being beside the river there was lots of wildlife to see (remember to protect against the mosquitos 😄)

We had a great time staying at this property. There were eight of us and there were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate our needs. The layout of the house is quirky and charming and contained everything we needed. This is a good location from which to explore the Loire Valley. Jean Louis was very helpful when we moved in and gave us plenty of information about local restaurants and places to see and visit. We would recommend this property.

We chose this charming and characterful property as a conveniently situated base from which we could readily access our Rugby World Cup matches in Paris, Bordeaux and Nantes, as it is a short drive from the TGV station at St Pierre des Corps. It was perfect for those rather specific needs but quite apart from that Montbazon is a charming village on the banks of the Indre River with medieval buildings, former water mills and an imposing fortress in the historic core. It is perfectly placed for exploring the many delights of the Loire Valley and the Touraine region. A useful range of shops, including a terrific fromagerie, a nearby supermarket and a small weekly open air market made shopping a pleasure. The property, formerly a family home, has been cleverly converted and modernised, while at the same time feeling homely and conserving the features of the old building. It makes full use of the available space and is particularly well suited to families with small children. By contrast we were a small group of adults of whom three were remote workers, but the house coped with that too as spare bedrooms could double as private workspace, although in our experience the wifi was a little weaker towards the back of the building. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped and the garden provides lovely spaces for outdoor dining and relaxation. Jean Louis and Stephanie made us very welcome and were responsive and generous hosts throughout our month-long stay.

Nous avons été très bien accueilli par Jean-Louis. La maison correspondait parfaitement à l’annonce. Nous avons pu passer un merveilleux week-end entre amis. Le centre ville est tout proche, et le quartier très calme. Nous reviendrons Merci Jean-Louis

Nous avons passé 3 jours et trois nuits à Montbazon dans ce magnifique gîte parfaitement équipé. Jean-Louis nous a indiqué les endroits à visiter, nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Nous avons passés un agréable séjour en famille a Montbazon, la maison est agréable et tout le monde a trouvé sa place ! A quelques mètres à pied du centre ville et ses commerces. Parc avec jeux pour enfants juste en face ! Nous avons apprécié trouver le la base de l'épicerie en cuisine et le présent de l'arrivée ! Accueil sympathique, Nous gardons l'adresse.. merci

We spent a great week in Montbazon with our entire family celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. The property and facilities were great with lots of room for our group of 11 people,a nice outdoor space to relax with a glass of wine or enjoy an evening BBQ as well as some space for the younger kids to play some games or on the swing in the back yard. A park with playground equipment was also just behind the house and easy to get to over a nearby walking bridge.The home was well stocked with dishes and cooking pots and pans so we could enjoy a few home cooked meals! The kids enjoyed biking or walking to the nearby “Patessaries” in the morning or early afternoon to buy our daily baggettes and pastries. We did some family biking on the nearby biking trails but at times had problems finding the signage marking the trails. The only issue that we encountered was being informed a couple days before arriving that the linens and towels were not included with the rental and could be included for an additional fee. The host family was very accommodating and included both at no additional charge. This should have been explained more clearly in the original information provided as it would have possibly made a difference whether we had booked this house or not, depending on the cost. This may be an option for families driving to the RVBO location from their home but not for others arriving from overseas. The host family was very friendly and helpful but we were surprised by this last minute information.
