Gîte de caractère entre Dinan et St Malo.Calme, proche des sites touristiques

Lovely gîte, very comfortable and clean, and in a peaceful location. We enjoyed walks in the forest and trips to the coast. Hosts were friendly and welcoming.

We had a great stay in the little gites. Great area, very quiet, Nice for walking the dog. In the neighbourhood of all the sights like Dinan, St. Malo and Mont Saint Michel. The owners received us with a bottle of apple cider and a lot of ideas for our holiday.

This property was very difficult to find, with very little road signage. We had instructions in French, but my French is limited,I imagine it would be impossible for someone without any French, especially as we were relying on asking for directions from locals. To cut a long story short, we decided to leave after five days and told the owner,he demanded to know why, so we said we had just decided to move on. When we left I wrote a note to the owner in case he was not around, eventually after knocking at his door without any reply, I called out and found the owner. I gave him the note containing the 30 euros for five nights for the dog, (as we were unsure whether that cost had been included as when he arrived he told us that he didn't deal with your company,) and explained that we had thoroughly cleaned the gite. He then told me that I must accompany him as he judged me to be not honest and wanted to see what I had taken from the gite. I was appalled and extremely upset.
