Gîte de caractère proche centre-village et Drôme

Karine was very helpful before the trip and gave us a warm welcome when we arrived showing us exactly where everything was and even allowed us to store equipment safely during our trip

The historic aspect of this cottage certainly added to the pleasure of our stay. The cottage, as we learned from out hosts, was part of a very old textile factory and just like so many old mills that have been converted to homes in France, so was this factory building with vaulted ceilings. Staying in this building, especially for us from the United States added to our experience of living history. The cottage was well equipped with a full kitchen and it was great to be able to do laundry on site. The location is in a quiet place close to a closed road, very pleasant to walk along to go to a nearby market for groceries. A water canal makes nice watery sounds all along the side of the property and along the walking road and there were fig trees and blackberries and other nice trees and flowers all long the walk. The bed was really comfortable and the hosts were welcoming and very friendly. In our conversations we discovered common interests in music and other subjects and hoped to talk with them more which isn't really a part of hosting but we enjoyed them both very much.
