We loved this home from the past, the architecture, the lovely gardens, the interesting furniture, clean kitchen and bedrooms. Our hostess was friendly and helpful. The nearby bakery was a real treat too.

My husband and I stayed at this property with our daughter, her partner, our 17-year-old son and his friend. Marc was there to greet us on our arrival and showed us around the entire property. The photographs do not do it justice and the accommodation was vast. All of the facilities were outstanding, from rainfall showers to Tempur mattresses. Each of the king sized beds can be made into twin beds so virtually any configuration of accommodation is possible. The swimming pool was beautiful and it was fantastic to have this all to ourselves, along with the huge garden. The boulangerie is a 32nd walk away, with lovely, friendly staff who will make up baguettes with different fillings to order at very reasonable prices. The Super U supermarket is a five minute walk away and had everything that we could want during our stay. Each room has its own air-conditioning unit with remote control so we were all very comfortable despite exceptionally hot temperatures outside. One evening we spent the evening with Marc, tasting wonderful wines, that he is an expert on, and chatting late into the night. The towns of Saumur and Angers are around 30 minutes away and there are beautiful chateau, restaurants and shops very close by. This is definitely the best holiday home we have ever used and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It had everything you could ever wish for and we have had an amazing holiday and I’m very sad to now be home.
