Uncomplicated and friendly welcome by the host Pierre!Every item as indicated on the web portal was in the house and everything worked perfectly!Great wide bed in the master bedroom and a very comfortable matras!A BBQ attached to the house and you can operate it protected from rain.Lovely garden en pool ( for us to cold to use this time of the year, but during the summer certainly an added value!)We loved it and certainly come back if we visit this region of France again!Isabelle and Pierre, it was nice meeting you!

The property is excellent, very clean and nicely furnished. The air conditioning is a bonus in the heat. Bed is comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The location is great, there is a bakery, great restaurant and a supermarket all within walking distance. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and we would love to go back!

Die kleine Villa ist wirklich wunderschön gelegen. Eingerahmt von einem schönen Garten mit Pool kann man einen tollen Urlaub verbringen. Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Isabelle empfangen. Sie zeigte uns das Haus. Es ist sehr neu und die Einrichtung sehr geschmackvoll. Am Nachmittag brachte sie uns kleine selbst gebackene Kuchen. Das war eine schöne Geste und findet man nicht so oft. Sie gab uns nette Restaurant-Tipps. Wir können das das Maison du Fleuve im Ort sehr empfehlen. Es liegt an der Garonne und hat eine wunderschöne Terrasse. Das Essen ist gut, und wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend. Der Supermarkt und der Bäcker vor Ort sind auch sehr empfehlenswert . Der Standort ist sehr gut für Ausflüge nach Bordeaux, Arcachon, die Düne von Pilat , St. Emilion und ins Entre deux Mers geeignet. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen.

Perfectly appointed gite. The best we have stayed in over many years. It is also perfectly placed for all essential local facilities and close to a range of different sites to visit.

The house is privately situated in the owners beautifully maintained garden with your own entrance to come and go as you please. The house is beautifully furnished and immaculately presented and has everything you need. The friendly owners are on hand if needed to offer advice or assistance. The village of Camblanes et Meynac is only 10/15 minutes from Bordeaux and it is very easy to travel there by car or bus from the stop directly opposite the house. It takes you to Stalingrad bus station where you can switch to the tram which will take you all around the city. You will find everything you need in the village as it has a large supermarket, bakery, butchers, bank, pharmacy , small restaurant and takeaway. There is also a Lidl close by. We recommend the restaurant La Maison du Fleuve for lunch as they have an excellent plat du jour for eur18. We also had a lovely lunch in nearby Bouliac at Cafe de L'Esperance. We visited St Emilion which is only about 25 minutes away and also went to the beach at Arcachon. Both are well worth a visit. However as the pool is so tempting and it is so peaceful just to relax on the sunloungers, it is very hard to drag yourself away. This is an ideal place to stay in the country but also close to a wonderful city. We would thoroughly recommend this fantastic house and we certainly hope to return sometime in the future.
