The gite is compact but very well equipped and carefully thought out. Also there was plenty of everything in the kitchen.The location is quiet and peacefulBenjamin and Myriam were great hosts. There was good communication in advance and all in all a very pleasant family.
This is a gorgeous little gite located in a tiny hamlet on the edge of Pleumartin. Our stay was quiet and comfortable. The kitchen had just about everything that you would need, including a kettle, toaster, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher.There were 2 toilets and a decent sized showerThe bed was comfortable and large (UK king size duvet cover and sheet required). The garden area had good quality garden furniture. Amazing cherry trees were in fruit in May and June.The pool was a good size for lengths and it was warm. It was a short walk to the village, where there were excellent bakers.The owners were delightful, with a good knowledge of English. I would highly recommend this gite and I would stay there again. Things to be aware of:the wifi was not consistent, but we simply used my husband's phone as a hot spotthe gas bottle for the stove has a safety button that we do not have on UK gas bottlesthe stairs were steep and narrowthe pillows were smaller and more firm than UK pillowsthere was limited storage space for food stuffsuse of the pool is for 1 day onlyyou need to bring your own bed linen or else hire it from the ownersyou need to clean the gite when you leave or else pay for housekeepingthe gite is in the owner's garden and your garden area, whilst tucked away, is not private
We were there to attend some local events near Chatellerault so the location was very convenient for us. The gite had everything we needed and we made good use of the garden and bbq. It is a scenic, quiet area with some nice walks and interesting local towns and villages.
Nos hôtes ont été très sympathiques, prévenants et discrets. Le logis était restauré avec beaucoup de goût et offrait tout le confort. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.
