Gîte de charme aux portes de Périgueux

😊: terrific evening spent with the hosts to welcome us to their part of the world.

😊: Very spacious. Welcoming hosts. Quiet garden with furniture for lounging or dining outside from the BBQ.. 😢: For walkers and cyclists, paths run past the gate, but for evening meals and bars transport is needed. Perigeuex is literally 10 minutes by car with more bars, good restaurants and supermarkets than you'd ever need. We were there in the heatwave, temperatures up to 38C, the Gite isn't air conditioned but the inside temperature stayed acceptable and the owners brought us a large efficient fan. Please note these are not "things we didn't like" just a few points to be aware of..

😊: Self catering but had snacks with the hosts on 2 occasions. They were very friendly, hospitable and kind. Everything needed for our stay was available as advertised. The old house is beautiful.. 😢: having to sleep upstairs was slightly uncomfortable but the bedding and linen was superb..
