Gite de charme Pierre de Ronsard entre la Touraine et le Poitou

We all love the property, Benoit was a wonderful host. The house is lovely and everything needed is provided. The garden and pool are really great. We all loved playing the pool. There is a really good Patisserie/Boulangerie across the road. If there were any issue Benoit was right on it and nothing was a problem. I cannot recommend staying here more highly. I am sure we will be back. The surrounding area has loads to explore and we only managed a few visits. Tours was a lovely city. The House is easy to find and the village is only a few minutes from the motorway.

The property is located in the centre of Les Ormes (1 hour south of Tours). There is a boulangerie and small 'tabac' 50 yards up the road and there are larger supermarkets about 10 minutes away. Although the facade of the property backs onto a main road, visitor accommodation is quietly set back around a front and back courtyard (comprising a garden and pool). The property is divided between a smaller 2 person house and a larger three-bed house - with two bathrooms. The latter house is nicely furnished and fitted with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave and a basic conventional oven. The outside deck area (with two tables) offers plenty of scope to have meals and drinks outside plus there is a charcoal BBQ. Overall, there are a lot of positives and the hosts are exceptionally accommodating. The one (possible) negative would be that you need your car to go everywhere. You are just that bit outside the wine and chateau Loire region so any visit means driving - usually an hour north, at least.

We stayed here for one week- wish it was longer! The gite, the garden, the pool are all superb. Easy access to Tours,Chinon, Amboise etc. Sylvie and Benoit are wonderful hosts - happy to help with anything. Cannot recommend highly enough.
