Gîte de Château Guyon

Beau mais trop chaud en été Très beau gite conforme aux photos de l'annonce. Belle piscine mais non couverte, pas optimum en cas de nuits fraîches ou pour protéger de divers déchets végétaux qui tombent. Le gite n'est pas équipé côté isolation thermique, sous toiture, fenêtres à l'étage ou porte d'entrée, pour les étés chauds au delà de 30° malgré des murs très épais. Simple plancher bois entre étage et RDC, d'où une isolation phonique quasi inexistante. Sinon très bon confort de literie, belle décoration campagne chic, livres à disposition, spa géniale pour 4 personnes dans annexe équipée douche et wc. Lieu spacieux en espaces verts, très calme et idéal pour le repos et la tranquillité.

A lovely stay A lovely house in a beautiful location! The pool is fantastic and the grounds are wonderful. It's very private, you are not overlooked at all, surrounded by huge trees. It's worth noting that there is no air conditioning and it was almost 40 degrees whilst we were there. The house only had 1 fan but the owners bought us 2 more when we explained how hot the rooms were (absolutely boiling). We were a party of 6 and there is only 4 sun loungers and only enough rattan seating for 4 people so it would have been nice to have enough seating and loungers for all of us. If you had rented the other half of the gite as well you'd be fighting over comfortable seating. Also there is only 1 sharp knife and it's a bread knife so you have to do all of your chopping with a bread knife (which is difficult). A knife block with a selection of different sharp knives would have been nice. Also there is only 1 small wooden shopping board. Again, as a family of 6 doing lots of cooking, only having 1 small chopping board made things tricky. Also there is no cheese grater. One more thing, the pillows are square (like from a sofa) and are quite thin. I had to fold it in half and stuff towels under it to make it anywhere near comfortable. More pillows would have made sleeping nicer. However, we would definitely stay again and we loved our stay.

Un gîte magnifique ! Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au gîte de Château Guyon, dans un cadre superbe, calme, intime et apaisant. La maison est très confortable, et bien équipée. Les extérieurs, avec la grande piscine, la table de ping-pong, les fléchettes (etc.) ont fait le bonheur des enfants ! Très bon accueil et disponibilité de M. et Mme de Monvallier.
