😊: We adored everything about our stay at Gite de Marcel. The gite itself was very well equipped with everything we needed, it was comfortable and being able to sit outside and watch the sunset every night was such a treat! Virginie came to see us after we arrived to make sure we were ok and if we needed anything (and even was kind enough to leave out some Easter treats for our arrival!), and was happy to communicate with us through our trip as needed. The perfect host! As a base, it was perfect- only just over an hour from Ouistreham ferry port but central for so many other sites. During our stay, we visited Mont St Michel, Isigny, St Hilaire, Bayeux, Arromanches, Caen- all between 60-90 minutes to get to, and also Honfleur and Rennes which were about 105 minutes to get to. My husband had never driven abroad before and he found the roads very simple to drive on and navigate around. The closest town of Vire is less than 10 minutes away and has plenty of supermarkets, places to eat and activities. We were genuinely sad to be leaving the gite, we loved every moment of our time there and we very much hope we can stay again in the future..

😊: The house itself is clean and modern, but in a country setting about 6 kilometers from Vire. The hostess is very helpful. It is far enough away from any cities to be quiet and tranquil..

😊: The place was beautiful, with a great location and well maintained throughout. The place was incredibly clean and very well equipped. The kitchen had everything to help cook a meal, including oil, salt and pepper. The dishwasher and washing machine came in very handy. The coffee machine was used a lot, and worked beautifully. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside watching and listening to the goats and cows. The place is a 10 minute drive from the supermarkets and local park. The TVs are all smart tvs, and the WiFi is easy to connect. We went as a small family (31, 28, 7) and enjoyed our stay throughly. The host was incredibly kind and friendly, and checked in on us after our son had an emergency trip to the hospital (10 mins away also). I throughly recommend the place.. 😢: Watch your head in the bedrooms for the ceilings!.
