Gite des Perreyeurs - maison troglodyte avec vue sur Loire

😊: Veronique was extremely welcoming and helpful. The location was exceptional, the view over the Loire sublime. There were all the comforts of home plus, being a troglodyte dwelling, the gite itself was very unusual and a real pleasure to stay in. On a hot day it stayed cool inside and for a chilly evening there was a cosy woodburner. There are a lot of great places to visit nearby and excellent restaurants within easy reach.. 😢: No complaints at all. It couldn't have been better..

😊: It was very peaceful and in a beautiful location. The accommodation was very unique. The facilities were excellent and the hostess was very helpful. 😢: Nothing.

😊: The place was nicely decorated.. 😢: We were very disappointed with our stay. The apartment was very humid with a very strong moldy smell. We discovered a de-humidifier that showed the humidity level was 88. We did not feel comfortable with the quality of the air that we breathed in. We tried everything to air the place to no avail. We left after 1 night and had to find alternative accommodation. Make sure that you know what a troglodyte type of accommodation is, you might be disappointed..

😊: The property has fantastic views and is very comfortable for those who are fit and love an adventure living in a cave. Plenty of hot water in the shower and the property is well equipped.. 😢: Road access is extremely narrow and very tight for an ordinary saloon car. The path to the property is approximately 60 / 70 yards from the small car park down a grass track that becomes quite narrow for the last 15 /20 yards. Fine if you are fit and healthy however rather difficult is the person has walking difficulty and impossible for someone in a wheelchair..
