Gîte du Château de La Grèze (Périgord - Dordogne)

Wonderful holiday with good facilities and superb private pool.

We had the most fantastic time at the gite of chateau de la greze. Augustin and Benoit were very welcoming and immediately gave us a tour of the property and grounds which are stunning. We had exclusive use of the pool which was great … the weather was very warm and so it was lovely to cool off in it. The most beautiful setting and surrounding area … we will definitely return. Thank you again for giving us a great holiday in a ‘special’ place.

We had a wonderful holiday at La Grèze. The gite was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The location was stunning and within easy reach of bastide towns, castles, local vineyards, markets, rivers, forests etc. We enjoyed a very relaxing holiday exploring the area and lazing by and in the immaculate pool. Benoît was a most welcoming host. A great holiday experience.

Really nice cottage, however would like to make some recommendations for improvements. Due to covid eating out is less and the kitchen equipment is missing some items. Internet is real slow and vulnerable for weather conditions. Overall a real nice place for a pleasant holiday in Plaisance.

The gite is set in the grounds of a beautiful Chartreuse with magnificently maintained gardens, a restored stone chapel and a lake. The grounds are open to guests to wander round, sit in or watch the wonderful sunsets (and sunrises if you are an early riser) The interior is reasonably well-equipped and more than comfortable for a couple. We would thoroughly recommend it and will return.
