Gite du Silence

A perfect place to enjoy the french culture and landscape. The appartement was perfectly clean and equipped with everything that you need for your stay. Jason and Tracy are great hosts and we had a super relaxing stay. Highly recommend!

We were very lucky to stay here in summer 24. firstly the photos do not do the Gite justice!!A stunning place inside and out, the owners have really managed to keep the rustic feel of a french country property while still having a modern comfortable feel. The outside area is very well maintained and perfect for lounging around the pool or eating all meals Al Fresco!! The interior was hygienically clean on arrival and could be mistaken for being completely brand new. The gites design means that the interior keeps itself relatively cool no mater what the temperature (we had some 38c days) especially the bedrooms (fans are also supplied). Everything was supplied such as coffee, tea, sugar, cleaning materials etc so there was no need to bring anything with us. If you love to cook while away then all mod-cons are provided and you'll easily be able to cater for yourself if you so wish. There are plenty of supermarkets and shops near by (although you will have to drive to them) the bakery is with in walking distance if you felt like it but is a 2 mile ish round trip, safe and easy enough though. Lots of small villages and larger towns all with in an hours drive and well worth a look. Some fantastic night markets that run over the summer which we highly recommend you visit a few times during your stay with great locally produced beers, wines, cheese, meats and even snails!! The owners Jason and Tracy were the perfect hosts, nothing was to much trouble. We'll defiantly be back!!

All you could ever want for in a gite. So much thought has gone into equipping the gite with every possible amenity, making guests feel welcome and at home. Different places to sit outside, beautiful pool, comfortable interior, peace and quiet. Friendly, generous and thoughtful hosts on site.

Gite du Silence certainly lives up to its name and rating! The owners, Jason and Tracie, have equipped this lovely old Gite with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay in the French countryside. It's a long drive from the ferry port but you're met with a very warm welcome and a bottle of wine to enjoy by the pool looking out over the fields and the distant windmill at Coulx. This is a gem of a holiday home and one I very much hope to visit again... and again!

Parfait séjour chez des hôtes charmants. Le gîte est très bien équipé et très agréable. La piscine, le trampoline et le jardin ont fait le bonheur des enfants. Un endroit relaxant, au calme de la campagne du lot et Garonne. On y resterait plus longtemps !

Wow! This gite does what it says on the tin! Views in the pictures do not really do it justice. The Kingsize bed had ample room, even for my tall husband (6'4) the sofa was really comfy. All the basic amenities were catered for, however Jason and Tracie go above and beyond by providing much more than that as well as the very welcoming 'welcome pack'. The pool area was so relaxing and the light pollution spot on for star watching of an evening. Our expectations were well and truly exceeded. To top all of that, as host's Jason and Tracie couldn't have been any more lovely. We have met new life-long friends and will certainly be coming back.

Nous avons passer un agréable séjour au calme, le gîte porte très bien son nom. Magnifique endroit pour se reposer et se ressourcer avec une agréable piscine. Le logement est très joli avec toutes les premières nécessités a disposition et des petites attentions. Jason et Tracy sont agreables, discrets et disponibles. Nous recommandons vivement cette location et y retournerons sans hésitation.
