Gîte du Thalala

Lovely family next to us, very nice contact, beautiful house, very clean, fresh air, beautiful sky, the villagers are very friendly too, we loved our stay ☺️ stay blessed dear Hoacqs!

Lovey house nested near the wine valley in a very calm little village, quick access to hike with lovely view. The house has everything you would need. The host was always available and helpful with our request/question.

Ein liebevoll eingerichtetes altes Bauernhaus, sehr gemütlich aber für unsere Verhältnisse etwas kühl, vor allem wenn es trüb ist. Natürlich wunderbar im Sommer. Sehr ruhige Lage mit besten Wandermöglichkeiten. Haben die Zeit genossen.

A warm welcome awaited us to a lovely little gite which was ideally placed for exploring the castles and vineyards in the area. If you don't mind a few hills, walking is straight from the door. The gite was the perfect size for us (couple a dog) and had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Very thoughtful gesture of some dog food too as coming from UK we can no longer bring it with us. Had a great stay and hope to return when we next come back to Alsace.

Das Ferienhaus mit kleinem Garten hat für uns (zwei Personen und Hund) sehr gut gepasst. Der Innenbereich ist sehr liebe- und geschmackvoll, im altfranzösischem Stil eingerichtet. Im Schlafzimmer stand uns sogar ein Moskitonetz zur Verfügung. Die Küche ist umfangreich ausgestattet; uns hat ein wenig die Spülmaschine gefehlt. Im Garten, der abgezäunt ist, hat man die Möglichkeit, Siesta in einer Hängematte zu halten. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und man kann von dort aus, ohne Anfahrt, direkt in verschiedene Wanderwege einsteigen; zu empfehlen sind die Wege nach Andlau und um den Ungerberg. Der Vermieter und seine junge Familie leben direkt unter einem Dach daneben. Wir empfanden sie als sehr hilfsbereit und aufmerksam; am letzten Tag fragte der Vermieter auch ganz offen danach, was er möglicherweise noch besser machen könnte. Überhaupt hat uns die Lage des kleinen Örtchens Bernardvillé sehr gut gefallen; rundum wunderschöne Natur und vielseitige Kultur (zu den Städten Colmar und Straßburg benötigt man mit dem Auto maximal 40 Minuten).

Ein traumhaft schönes Häuschen mit viel Ruhe, toller Umgebung und sehr liebevoll gestaltet von den Vermietern. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Tucked away in its own niche within a small village, this little cottage felt cosy and safe The owner gave us a very warm welcome and was most helpful, without ever intruding on our privacy. The kitchen has old-world charm, yet everything you need (except perhaps a dishwasher, but who does serious cooking with so many good restaurants within easy reach?). The bathroom is modern and spacious, the toilet separate and both the sofa and the bed were comfortable (and suitable for a man 6 feet (183 cm) tall). The cottage provides a good base for tours by car, bicycle or on foot. We particularly enjoyed walking through the forest to the neighbouring village Andlau (just 40 minutes) where there is both a truly excellent patisserie/tea room (Rietsch) and a fine restaurant (Le Caveau Gourmand) to replenish the calories burnt en route! Although we have now seen most of the local sights, the peace and quiet of the area, and the suitablility of the cottage for just sitting reading make us feel that we'd like to go back.
