GITE HARY - Entire Place

😊: The place was fantastic. Everything was very modern and spotless. We hadn't noticed air conditioning in the original listing, so we were pleasantly surprised to find it there when we arrived in the middle of a July heatwave! The host was extremely helpful, and the pool and garden were a real bonus. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals, and the TV/lounge area was very comfortable. The WiFi worked perfectly, too—we had no problem streaming the World Cup in English (just a shame about the result!). The bedrooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable (although comfort is obviously subjective). While the local town only has a bakery, it served us well with fresh bread and croissants every morning. For groceries, the Intermarché supermarket is just a 3-minute drive away. There is also a much bigger town with far more options only 15 minutes away. Tip for future guests: We discovered you can park for free at that town's station and take the train into Paris using a daily travel card (€12.90).. 😢: It really wasn't a problem for us, but it's worth noting that the gite does not open directly onto the garden. Instead, there is a short walk through an outbuilding to reach the pool and garden area. While this didn't bother us, it wasn't obvious from the listing and might be an issue for families with young children, as you can't keep an eye on them directly from the property. As I say, it wasn't a problem for our group, but it is something we hadn't expected..

😊: We thoroughly enjoyed our week’s stay at Gite Hary. The village itself is very quiet but does have a bakery which is open most days, and the nearest supermarket is a short drive away. The Gite was perfect for our family of four and we had everything we could need. Although located at the back of the house, there is a walkway through to the garden and this didn’t cause any inconvenience. Garden, pool and seating area were peaceful and relaxing. The hosts were very discreet (and welcoming) and so it felt like our own private space. The train station was only 20 mins drive away and we took a train direct to Paris which was really convenient. Chateau Fontainebleau and Moret-sur-Loing were also a short drive away and were both worth a visit. I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if I was visiting the area.. 😢: The week we stayed was very hot and without air conditioning the bedrooms were very warm at night. There was a fan available and of course, we could open the skylights to ventilate the space which helped..

😊: Beautiful garden and pool. Very comfy house with every facility you might need. Friendly hosts that gave us little food gifts. The cats. Everything was wonderful. 😢: A few things broke but were fixed very quickly!.
