Gite Histoire de Maison

😊: An old house but nicely presented. The owners were very helpful. The house is 5 minutes walk to the station and 10 minutes walk to the centre of Arras..

😊: We absolutely loved staying at this house and what a perfect weekend with such beautiful weather. I wish that we had more time and could've stayed longer. The private garden was a delight and we spent most of our time enjoying the outdoors. The bedrooms were perfect (all ensuite). It was too hot to stay indoors but the living room was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked from what we could see (we didn't cook). The location is great as it was a short walk into the centre and also close to the hypermarche. Checking in was easy and we received a warm welcome from the owners. There was a slight confusion about the booking and we received wine as a gift which was very unexpected but also appreciated. Thank you also for putting the parasol away for us as we forgot - not realising that the storm was on it's way that evening. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a lovely weekend!. 😢: Nothing. It was perfect. The upstairs was very warm but it was unbelievably hot over the weekend. It couldn't be helped!.

😊: Clean and well equipped. Comfortable bedrooms with on suite bathrooms. Lovely outdoor area and garden. 10 minutes walk to centre of town. Secure off street parking..

😊: It’s a lovely property, in a wonderful location within walking distance of Arras, friendly hosts, and well equipped. Very quiet neighbourhood.. 😢: Big problem however! The Gite is marketed as a sole occupancy of the house with garden, unfortunately there is no mention of the man and woman who seem to be living in a shed at the back of the owners property (which is next door) and access it via the Gite’s gate, which means they walk at random times of the day right between the house and the so called private garden! Not what I would class as private, therefore you are wary of when you’re sitting outside, or leaving the back door open as there are strangers walking through….. Perhaps the owners should get them to use their gate! This really ruined our stay, there was no privacy, which is how the property is marketed..
