Gîte insolite - moulin à eau avec piscine et grand parc verdoyant‍

Great lay out and equipment for large family group. Everyone has an ensuite. The pool and garden were shady and cool in our unusually hot week. This ancient mill has an interesting ambience.

Super week-end en famille où nous avons profité de la nature, de l'environnement exceptionnel du moulin. Toute la famille a été ravie.

We loved the beautiful house and its spacious yards and pool. The house is incredibly unique, comfortable and beautifully, cleverly renovated from its mill days. For a family of 7 adults and 4 children, we were able to have relaxing communal time on the “open” first floor and outdoors in the spacious backyard while also having ample space for privacy in our bedrooms and bathrooms on the second floor. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare family meals. Although the area is quiet and idyllic, it is a short drive from a great river beach and a couple large super markets in Saintes. The hosts were warm, hospitable and responsive in every way - from the start when we contacted them for information, before our arrival when we had questions, and when they greeted, welcomed and showed us the property upon our arrival. All in all, the Annepont mill house is an amazing value and gave us a wonderful vacation that will be etched in our memories forever. We simply could not have asked for more from the hosts and their one-of-a-kind property.

Les + : la qualité de l'accueil, le charme du moulin, la rivière qui coule au milieu de la propriété, le calme, l'équipement du gîte, les chambres vastes et équipées de leur salle d'eau/toilettes, le superbe terrain sans vis à vis, la piscine, la table de ping-pong, le stationnement à l'ombre Les - : la pièce de vie très sombre (il vaut mieux qu'il fasse beau), l'insonorisation entre les chambres et entre les deux étages, les barbecues un peu grands donc gros consommateurs de combustible.

Très beau séjour en Charentes maritimes dans une superbe propriété, accueil formidable. Extérieur vraiment très agréable et original, rénovation du moulin extraordinaire. L'intérieur est parfait pour un séjour entre amis, avec salles de bain privatives pour chaque chambre. Les bémols sont peu nombreux : la table extérieure est un peu éloignée de la cuisine imposant une logistique parfaite pour éviter les allers retours durant les repas. Il y a de multiples passages d'eau, charmants au demeurant, mais nécessitant une surveillance accrue des enfants en bas âge.

Le lieu est beau, magique, reposant et les chambres sont extrêmement confortables et propres. La literie est vraiment très bien, c'est assez rare pour le signaler! De plus, les hôtes sont adorables et discrets. Un vrai moment de bien être grâce à ce jardin féerique qui nous entraîne dans une certaine contemplation et méditation.Nous reviendrons sûrement avec plaisir. 👍

De bon moments en famille en Saintonge. Le jardin et la location à elle seule permettent de passer un bon week-end si les visites alentours ne sont pas envisagées.

Amazingly beautiful old mill with functioning water wheel in the lounge!! The owners are helpful and friendly. The living area is basic but adequate. The bedrooms are tastefully furnished all with shower/bathrooms. The garden is beautiful and very big with tables, chairs, washing line and bbq. The pool area is fenced off and is equipped with sun loungers and chairs. The route to the garden is interesting as you have to walk across the little bridges over the stream that runs under the house. There are pretty dragonflies, frogs and small lizards in and around the stream. The farm next door sells its own butter, milk and cheese - twice a day you can watch the cows walking along the road past the front of the house to be milked! Although there are no shops in the village of Annepont, the 2 neighbouring villages - Taillebourg and Saint Savinien do have supplies and facilities. The property is not great for anyone with mobility problems as there are a lot of steps and uneven surfaces. Overall though it is a wonderful property and we had a fantastic holiday.
