Gîte La maison de Jules

😊: We had an awesome time at Maison de Jules. A beautiful heritage property, which was just perfect for our family of seven adults. The kitchen was well stocked and had pretty much what we needed. The hosts were amazing and very responsive. We got stuck in a bad spell of traffic driving out from Paris and were late to reach the property, but the hosts were kind enough to wait up for us and let us in at that unearthly hour. There aren’t too many eateries walking distance from the house, but many options a short drive away. The Christmas market was about a 20 minute drive. The location might be inconvenient if you don’t have a car. I can’t stress enough on how the owners went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect, and every single one of us left with a warm goodbye.. 😢: Nothing! It was much more than we expected.

😊: We stayed at the beginning of December, five adults and two children (one of them a baby). It is a large, spacious, comfortable, very clean Alsatian building located in a quiet area and suitable for a family stay. The heating works throughout the day and the temperature can be controlled so that it is very pleasant to stay at home, as well as the hot water. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed. Spacious and comfortable sitting area and dining area. The bedrooms are large, the beds are comfortable. Two large showers and toilets also include a washing machine and dryer. Covered parking adjacent to the house with an electric gate and suitable for any type of vehicle. There is also a very large garden but we didn't use it because of the cold weather (December...) Natalie and William are great hosts and lovely people, from a very detailed explanation at check-in to taking care of everything we asked for. The location allows good access To Colmar and the surrounding villages, to Germany and Switzerland. There is a large supermarket about two kilometers away. I would definitely recommend staying there. 😢: Nothing.

😊: Attention to detail, clean comfortable and well thought out. The hosts went well over and beyond to make us welcome and to help us with a few problems that arose...our e bike tire went flat so William repaired it as well as talking with the rental company for us. Also our Uber ride backed out last minute stranding us...and Natalie and William were able to call us a cab and we made our train (it was 6am ). We honestly couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay and friendlier attentive and helpful hosts.. 😢: We loved staying in this small village...there wasnt a thing we would have changed..
