Gite La Mansarde 8 personnes

😊: Huge Gite in 18th century building with large modern extension. Less than 10 minutes from the centre of Bayeux, situated in a tiny quiet village. Perfect central location for exploring landing beaches and inland. 4 large very comfortable bedrooms - 1 downstairs, 2 up one stairs in the old part of the house, and the last in a master suite up the other stairs in the newer part of the house. Huge lounge which was great after a long day out sightseeing. TV was a projector taking up the whole wall which was class. Large kitchen with all appliances, cooking equipment, etc. Large dining room. 2 x showers (fabulous) & 3 x toilets. Large garden with nice furniture and morning sun for al fresco dining. Easy key pick-up, excellent communication with host beforehand and lovely welcome and guidance on local events. Parking space on the premises was tight for my big 7 seater - I managed it no problem but loads of spaces directly outside in the village if you don't fancy it. Heating worked really well - it was chilly in Normandy in May. We were 5 adults - our mother and 4 siblings in our 50's- and it accommodated us perfectly. The downstairs room was a gift for Ma albeit she had to go upstairs to shower. This place was absolutely perfect and I will be returning when next I am in Normandy.. 😢: You'll need a car - or a bike..
