Gite "la Solitude"

😊: All nice and clean beds. Very comfortable odd road parking. 😢: Could do with more lighting out side.

😊: Location was good, 15 minute walk to the nearest village and in a nice location.. 😢: Overall, we felt our visit was a chore to the owner who lives opposite. We arrived when planned and agreed (5 pm), and the property was not ready. The whole place was seriously unkempt and not clean. Towels, plates, bowls, and glasses all mix matched from, what looked like, a charity shop. It felt damp, musty and dark and the lighting was quite cold. There is a dishwasher but no tablets. On arrival, we were told there was a noise which could have come from the fridge, as it is, the fridge did not work at all, which meant we ended up throwing some fresh food we had bought. The garden was huge, but a massive weed patch with dog poo in bags from previous visitors still sitting there... a real shame as the place has huge potential..

😊: Lovely pitstop on our European road trip, with a very welcoming host. Was perfect for us as a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 children). The kiddies loved the back garden and playset..
