Gîte Le P'tit Chez Nous

😊: What a beautiful tranquil gite to stay in. So much space and a very well equipped kitchen, this was the perfect home-from-home for our two-night, three-day mini cycling adventure. We LOVED the shaded terrace. Isabelle the host was super welcoming and very patient and forgiving of our clumsy French. We’ll definitely return..

😊: The hosts were charming / polite and extremely helpful from when we arrived until we left. The condition and quality of the Gite was exceptional and the breakfast better than most 5 star hotels. 😊: The gite was spotless, had a modern kitchen, very comfortable bed, cable TV with some options in English, good internet connection and was nicely decorated. Outside there was a covered seating area, BBQ and a small above ground pool. Nice view of the chateau in La Rochefoucauld from the garden. Property situated in a quiet area only a 15/20 minute walk to the cafés, bars, boulangeries and restaurants in La Rochefoucauld. Lovely Chocolaterie on the main road within 5 minutes walk. Hosts were friendly, but not intrusive. They offer a breakfast service, but we didn't use this. Overall, a small but perfectly adequate place for a short holiday.. 😢: The front door into the gite is quite old and at times drafty. The hosts have provided a curtain to help with this problem, and say the door is going to be replaced with a modern insulated door this year. The toilet is off the small lounge which is not ideal. There is no washing machine in the gite, but the hosts kindly let us use one I the adjacent garage..
