Gîte les acacias 4 / 6p classified 3 stars renovated 2016 ideal for families, retirees

We have been absolutely delighted about our stay it this beautiful and charming cottage. We were welcomed by the very friendly owners with fresh figs and tomatoes from the vegetable garden. The charming cottage has everything you need. The fenced garden was perfect for our dog. The owners life nearby but the cottage gives you total privacy. The location is the best part, you're directly surrounded with gorgeous nature and from the house you can directly enter a forest with endless walks. Absolutely recommend! Thank you very much!

We arrived at the gite and was met by the lovely mom who was very helpful. The gite has a great garden which is enclosed therefore making it safe for children but for us it was great for the dogs as we did not need to worry about where they were. There are a couple of negative points to staying here and these are there was no English tv but we where able to get around that by using our iPad, there is only a table and chairs to sit on that was of reasonable comfort as the only other place to sit was on a sofa bed which was terribly uncomfortable so we used the outside chairs to sit on and our feet up on the bed when we watched a programme on our iPad. Other than that it was great. Highly recommend if you want a quiet place and to be close to some outstanding villages.

After 3 weeks we are very happy with this gite, the owner and her family. Everything worked perfect and we got help when needed. The terras and view is wonderful. We can truly recommend it even to friends.

Our two weeks in this lovely gîte were excellent. All the amenities were as expected. The space was cheerful and comfortable. The quiet and peace of the neighbourhood couldn’t be beat. It is very close to many of the best sights and museums in the region. We even enjoyed our closest bourg of Le Bugue.

The property had been very well renovated, retaining its character whilst being modernised. It was very clean, spacious and had all the facilities one could require. The garden surrounding the house was pretty and well tended and suitably enclosed to allow our dog to roam without worry but there was easy access to more garden/fields adjacent. The location was excellent with many tracks through the woods and fields right on the doorstep which gave an air of freedom. Although we only met Nadege on our arrival day, she had been very helpful prior to our visit and her mother who lives close by and oversees the property was also most welcoming and friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Unfortunately we did not have the best of weather during our stay but it did not spoil our impression of the Dordogne region largely thanks to the lovely house and friendly people we met.

Just returned home following a wonderful stay of 10 weeks at this lovely gite.Nadege & her husband are a lovely couple as are Nadege's parents who live in the house just behind the property.The gite is located on the crest of a valley & enjoys unimpeded views to the other side from a glorious terrace & garden.Le Bugue,the nearest town for shopping, is just a 15 min. drive away & is well served by 3 supermarkets , restaurants, banks etc. The gite is within easy reach of all the major tourist attractions in this beautiful part of the Dordogne & for walkers there is a tremendous network of circular routes which are well sign posted - a map is available from tourist offices. Overall everything about the area & the gite made this a very memorable holiday for us & our dog & without any hesitation we highly recommend it. Kay & Stuart , Blairgowrie , Scotland

We had a delightful stay in this wonderful, extremely well equipped and comfortable accommodation. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed the home made fig jam, home grown tomatoes, and walnuts laid out for us. Thanks for a great holiday! The house was all you need with a great vieuw and garden. Lot's of things to do in the area. One condition....you have to love silence, nature, calm...It's 15, 20 min drive to the next shop or bakery, super-market... I loved it....I'll be back Luc, Jelle, Katelijne, Fieke , july 2016
