Gite les Merlettes

😊: What a find. This is a lovely Gite with its own garden and parking, very well equipped, spacious modern but with the old character. You can shut the gates and relax in splendid isolation (assuming you've already brought some wine in😉). We would love to go back there. Vivianne, the host, was very welcoming but left us to our own devices after showing us around. Lots to do and see within an hour, Chantilly, Compiegne (Armistice train and museum are well worth the time and €8) and Gerberoy village.. 😢: The only thing to be aware of is there isn't really a village with any services in walking distance, so you'll need a car. You could get to Warluis but it would be around 30 minutes each way walking on roads. Not really a problem, we just planned to bring food in on the way back from place..
