Gîte Maison individuelle avec piscine près de Vaison la romaine

The property is in a nice quiet part of the village with views to Mont Ventoux. We had a lovely time touring the area, breath taking views in all directions. Excellent restaurants, villages and towns not too far. Unfortunately there was limited use of the pool due to the weather being cooler than usual for time of year, covering it at night might have helped with the water temperature? The property had a few issues; limited kitchen surfaces for food preparation; a cupboard door that did not open fully; a lack of food storage space. The settee had seen better days and it was a struggle to get up out of the sunken cushions. The selection of crockery was limiting, we had to purchase bowls for our pasta supper and large drinking glasses. An excellent spacious bathroom and a good shower. More thought could have gone into the double bed ie., low and unforgiving. The lights, obviously saving on energy, but restricting for reading by. Hope this helps?

2 adults, 2 children (5 & 2 yo). We had the perfect holiday. We loved the swimming pool (which was very safe for small children) and the playground was very popular. + good bbq. Plenty of things to do in the surroundings. very recommended.

Our stay was wonderfull. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The location is fantastic, close to historic villages, great domains, fun things to do with the family. The pool was great for our son, overlooking Mt. Ventoux. The great surprise was the kitchen, everything we needed to cook was there, which is not often so in our experience. We could have hosted a dinner party. When our shower did not work so well, the hosts were very fast and helpfull in fixing it. We loved it and hope we can make it back sometime. We can really recommend going to the mini golf park the hosts have in the area, it was a blast. Thanks for having us!

wir hatten eine sehr schöne Woche in St. Marcellin: die Vermieter waren jederzeit hilfsbereit und dennoch diskret und haben uns mit vielen nützlichen Informationen versorgt - allein der Restauranttipp war himmlisch; es war ein bisschen Leben wie auf dem Land und dennoch ist das faszinierende und ursprüngliche Vaison la Romaine gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Gegend bietet sich wunderbar zum Erholen, Erkundungen, Wanderungen sowie zum Verweilen auf schönen Plätzen an. Wir werden gerne an die Zeit zurückdenken.

Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable chez Thierry et Virginie, le gîte est très bien équipé et la piscine avec vue sur le Mont Ventoux juste magnifique, l’accueil était parfait, nos hôtes très sympathiques et très discrets

The owners were very friendly, helpful and discrete - you never knew they were they, but they were there if you needed anything. I stayed with my eldest daughter for a week and I would recommend this property for couples and families. You won’t be disappointed.

We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful location looking out over vineyards hills and crumbling castles. After buying groceries in markets and in town we savored many brilliant meals outside on the terrace. The mountain view from the pool was extraordinary, and the friendly kitties and dogs were welcome companions. We liked that our hosts were just across the way if we had any needs, yet we enjoyed privacy and freedom. Their dinner recommendation in Vaison (La Bartabelle?) was astounding..beautiful atmosphere, welcoming, phenomenal cuisine, and English was spoken. We had day trips to Aix, Gordes, Roussillon, and Bonnieux, though our favorites were the nearby medieval gem Crestet and La Barroux..quiet, peaceful, lovely views, hardly any tourists. We were also amazed by the Alpine village Brantes, so if you enjoy hiking head up there. We were floored by the winery Chene Bleu outside Crestet..Americans working there gave us a full tour and truly memorable tasting in gorgeous historic surroundings. Every evening we looked forward to our quiet retreat at the Seus..French wine, treats, cheeses, with full relaxation. The only tiny issue which we mentioned to Thierry were that several of the bikes were in need of repair. Their welcome, beautiful location, very affordable property, access to stunning rural France, and full amenities insured our vacation in Provence was truly invigorating, inspiring, and relaxing.
