Gîte Pélisse, gîte de charme pour 4 personnes dans un grand domaine viticole

The Pelisse cottage is more of an apartment on the gorgeous Domaine de Gressac property. Pelisse is one of several suites thoughtfully renovated and situated in the old winery buildings; the rooms are modern and well-appointmented within walls that date from the 1600's. We were very comfortable and enjoyed using the updated kitchen, preparing meals with the lovely produce and food from the local area. We had a fabulous view of the Ceze valley from our kitchen and living room. The grounds are beautiful and tranquil with plenty to do in terms of the pool, walking to the River Ceze, or relaxing on the balcony. There are bicycles and games for the guests but we did not take the opportunity to enjoy them as we spent most of our days out enjoying the area: kayaking on the Ceze, kayaking on the Gard, exploring Arles, Nimes, the Camargue, and nearby Provence--all within drives of an hour or less. Laurence and Reto are gracious, helpful hosts. The property includes their own house and equestrian center, so they are easily available for local recommendations or for assistance, if needed. We also loved their sweet dogs!

This place was heaven on earth! Wine, horses, dogs and amazing living quarters called "gites" Absolutely 5 star. The hosts Laurence and Reto could not have been nicer. This place is a hidden gem.
