Gite rural au coeur d'un village solognot

A lovely, peaceful cottage with everything we needed - and which kept cool in the hottest weather! Perfect location for visiting a number of chateaux (both big and small), as well as a number of walks around the forests and lakes. The hosts were very welcoming, helpful and generous. A perfect stay in this beautiful part of France.

Beautiful location and great place to stay.

This Gite has been finished to a very high standard, everything is lovely for a perfect relaxing holiday. You can just walk up to the road for lovely fresh bread in the morning. There is a restaurant in the village within walking distance and for larger shops we went to Auchan which was not too far away. I would recommend this Gite.

The cottage is a very nicely refurbished building, thoughtfully furnished & equipped. Tour en Sologne is ideally situated for visiting chateaux & other attractions in the east of the Loire.The village itself is quiet, but has a boulangerie & a couple of small bar/ restos with a pizza van on Thursday evenings. There's an Intermarche in a neighbouring village fairly close by. Both Mme & M Vincent are kind & helpful hosts who made every effort to ensure our visit was enjoyable & comfortable. We very much appreciated their thoughtfulness. I would highly recommend a stay here.

We stayed for one week in late September. The house is easy to find and is in a great location, near to a fantastic bakery and a couple of bar/restaurants. Evelyne met us for the check-in, and was very friendly and happy to chat. We hadn’t noticed the extra 20€ charge for towels and bedlinen, but that was all sorted out quickly in time for our arrival. She maintains the property really well, it’s very clean & tidy, nicely decorated and has everything we needed for our stay. She also very kindly arranged a bottle of wine for us when we arrived. The shower (downstairs) has excellent water pressure and the rooms are all bigger than the photos on the website might suggest. Note that the wifi is pretty much non-existent. We could get some patchy signal strength using the public wifi in the village, and it was not a problem for us. There’s a nice patio area where we sat out for drinks and meals. The private car parking is great, through a set of iron gates (shared with Evelyne and her husband) and right adjacent to the patio. We had a great stay, thanks again to Evelyne & her husband.

We stayed at this beautiful place. Where we were greeted by the owner who made us feel very welcome. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and biscuits and during our stay some home grown tomatoes. The property had everything we needed and in the village there was also a lovely bakery and restaurant . On spending days exploring Chateau’s and the zoo which is a must to see it was so relaxing to return to this lovely place. I would recommend it to all. This delightful house is perfect for a family of 4 or a couple. As 2 couples this caused some embarrassment as the bedrooms are adjoining with the second bedroom only accessible through the other bedroom. This was not made clear in the particulars. We were unable to go out separately in the evenings as those sleeping in Bedroom 2 had to go to bed first.The bathroom upstairs is situated off the first bedroom. Using the facilities at night was awkward and resulted in having to use a torch so as not to disturb the other couple when walking into their room and not using the bathroom light as this triggered a loud fan.More importantly was the fact that an adult man is unable to stand to use the toilet due to the low and sloping ceiling height. The rest of the house is lovely, the downstairs perfect and the outside space. We would go there again, but only as 1 couple.
