Gîte rural avec vue sur la piscine et le lac

Après une année marquante (Covid oblige), nous avons pleinement profité d’une semaine dans ce gîte, pour nous ressourcer et nous reposer en famille. Calme quiétude sont les maîtres mots de ce séjour. Naomi, Gary et Ketty nous ont généreusement accueilli dans ce havre de paix, une famille à l’image de leur grand gîte accueillant et chaleureux. Côté prestations : la belle et grande piscine, les ventilateurs dans chaque chambre et les différentes attentions de nos hôtes ont complété notre ressenti déjà très positif à notre arrivé. Enfin, un très grand nombre de sites et ballades sont accessibles à moins d’une heure de la maison.

We spent a wonderful week here. Naomi was very welcoming and helpful. This place is beautiful!! Its the perfect relaxing retreat and we are keen to return. The gite was perfect for our family, furnished to a high standard, private eating space and stunning views of the countryside. Everything was super clean, it was well equipped, beds were comfortable and plenty of fans to keep cool in the hot weather. The swimming pool is a really good size and the children enjoyed the swimming and meeting Naomi's daughter who is a similar age. Thank you Naomi for a fantastic week away, so much more for us to explore when we come back!!

We had the most wonderful stay at this fabulous gite, with friendly and helpful hosts Naomi Gary and their daughter who my daughter became firm friends with. In terms of location we have decided its the best in the Dordogne with lovely towns and villages near by such as Villereal and Montpazier, both worth a visit! The gite is decorated to a high standard and was to our personal taste. The beds are comfy and all rooms well appointed. There is a large walk in wardrobe in the master bedroom. This room has great dual aspect windows. The other two bedrooms were cute, they were quite hot being at the top, but good fans were provided with a cool mist setting which helped. There is a shower room downstairs which was useful for a family stay, and the family bathroom upstairs was lovely with a decent size bath. The kitchen had all you needed inc a Nespresso coffee maker, and the hosts provided a welcome pack with some coffee pods, cheese, bread and wine. What more could you need! There is a lovely outside seating area to the front of the property under a pergola with pretty grape vines growing on it, where we ate all of our meals. There is also a terrace with table and chairs that backs onto the lounge area, before you get to the pool and expansive garden/feilds with further seating areas. The pool is a good size with comfy sun loungers and a few water floats for children which my daughters loved. Surrounded by lavender it smelt heavenly. The view from the pool is outstanding and truly memorable, overlooking the lake (which you can walk round,its a nature reserve, from a footpath near the property). It was my husbands birthday on the trip and the hosts went the extra mile to bake cupcakes which was very kind! Prior to booking they also provided great advice about local swimming areas and restaurants. I highly recommend staying here for the excellent location, helpful hosts and well appointed gite. We will be back!!

L’Heritier is a wonderful gite, it feels authentic and is well equipped. We loved spending time by the pool, courtyard and verandah. Would highly recommend and hope to return in the future.

We wanted somewhere quiet and peaceful where we could relax. This is exactly what we got . It is situated in a wonderful spot with open countryside all around and an amazing view of the lake. Naomi and Gary are fantastic hosts - any requests we made were sorted immediately. The property itself is spotlessly clean and really well equipped. It has everything you would need to feel like a home from home. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to get away from it all with all the modern day amenities for a relaxing time.
